Brisbane 2032 Bid Reaches Milestone 04/08/21
(ATR) In the week when Seoul announced a proposal to jointly host an Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2032 with South and North Korea, Brisbane quietly delivered its latest 2032 submission to the IOC.

This milestone in the IOC’s “targeted dialogue” phase with Queensland’s Capital City required the Australians to provide firmer detail on their plans to organize the Olympics and Paralympics.
Brisbane and the Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) are playing their cards close to their chest. Australian organizers are mindful that the 2032 host city will be the first chosen by the IOC under a new format for Olympic bids that eliminates the costly and complicated international campaigns that were once part of the process.

TORONTO, April 12, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) Artbarn School in Toronto has sourced more than 160 works of art donated from professional and aspiring artists for a fundraising auction opening today.
Notable artworks up for auction include ten photographs by Montréal-based Bill Vazan, who won the 2016 Governor General’s Award in Visual and Media Arts, and several works by Istvan Kantor, who won the same prize in 2004. Donated works by significant Canadian artists Menno Krant, Rebecca Baird, Agata Ostrowska, Joseph Drapell and Steven Livick as well as widely collected American artists Ben Schonzeit and Alan Sonfist are also being auctioned to raise funds for the school.

According to a news release from Angel Wings Network, the organization said that despite the challenges of the previous year, âno request for help was deniedâ and that âover $8,000 in fuel cardsâ were distributed and âevery transport requestâ was completed.
Angel Wings Network was able to meet its 2020 budget fundraising goal âdue to $12,000 in donations received in the month of December.â
The first major fundraising event for the nonprofit this year is the annual Idaho Gives. This year will differ from previous years, which in the past had both silent and live auctions, due to COVID-19 and will include an online auction that runs from Thursday to May 5.
